Terms of Service
Last updated: August 25, 2026
GetCrew is operated by GETCREW LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“GetCrew,” “we,” “us”), located at 2625 Collins Ave, Suite 1803, Miami Beach, FL 33140.
1. What GetCrew is
GetCrew operates a marketplace platform (web and mobile apps) that connects businesses seeking licensed tradespeople — electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians — with independent candidates offering their services. GetCrew facilitates discovery, negotiation, scheduling, payment, and reputation between these two parties. GetCrew does not itself perform trade work, and does not employ the candidates who use the platform.
2. Not an employer — independent contractor relationship
Candidates who accept jobs through GetCrew do so as independent contractors of the hiring business, not as employees of GetCrew or (unless the business separately agrees otherwise) of the hiring business. GetCrew is not a party to the working relationship between a business and a candidate, is not a staffing agency or employer of record, and makes no representation about a candidate's or business's compliance with employment, wage, or worker-classification law. Businesses and candidates are each responsible for their own compliance with applicable law, including tax obligations arising from payments made through the platform.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use GetCrew. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You may not create an account on behalf of someone else without their authorization, or misrepresent your identity, licensure, insurance status, or business affiliation.
4. Licenses, verification, and insurance
GetCrew offers optional license verification and proof-of-insurance review as a convenience to help businesses and candidates evaluate each other. A "verified" badge reflects that a document was reviewed and matched to information the candidate provided — it is not a guarantee of current licensure, insurance coverage, or workmanship, and GetCrew is not responsible for verifying licenses or insurance on an ongoing basis after initial review. Businesses are responsible for independently confirming any credential they consider material to a hiring decision, especially for higher-risk or higher-value work.
5. Payments and fees
Payments between a business and a candidate are processed through GetCrew's payment processor (Stripe). When a business funds an agreement, payment is held (escrowed) until the business confirms the work is complete, at which point it is released to the candidate, less GetCrew's platform fee. The current fee percentage is shown before you fund an agreement. GetCrew is a payment facilitator, not a bank — funds held in escrow are held by GetCrew's payment processor, subject to that processor's terms.
6. Full-time placements and fee protection
For full-time placement job posts (annual-salary roles), GetCrew charges a one-time placement fee — a percentage of the candidate's first-year salary, shown before you initiate payment. Unlike shift-based jobs, GetCrew is not part of the ongoing payment relationship once a full-time hire is made, so this fee is owed regardless of whether payment is ever processed through the platform.
If a business hires, engages, or otherwise brings on a candidate — directly, through an affiliate, or through any other channel — whom GetCrew introduced to that business for a full-time placement role, within 12 months of the introduction, the business owes GetCrew the placement fee described above, regardless of how the hire was actually completed. "Introduced" means the candidate applied to, was invited to, or was otherwise presented to the business in connection with a full-time placement job post the business created on GetCrew. This obligation survives account termination and applies even if the hire happens after you've stopped using GetCrew, as long as it falls within the 12-month window.
The candidate never owes GetCrew a placement fee, or any part of one, in any circumstance. The placement fee is owed by the hiring business alone. GetCrew does not charge candidates to use the platform, to be introduced to an employer, or to be placed; GetCrew has no claim against a candidate for any fee arising from a placement, and nothing in these terms creates one — including if the business fails to pay, disputes the fee, or the placement ends. A candidate is not a guarantor, backstop, or co-obligor for anything an employer owes GetCrew.
The fee-protection window (12 months here) and the exact enforceable wording should get a real legal pass before this is relied on for a real dispute. The paragraph immediately above is not a first draft and should not be softened: several states exempt employer-paid recruiting from licensing only while the candidate is never liable for a fee, and that sentence is the plainest statement of a fact that is already true.
7. Disputes
If a business or candidate believes a job wasn't completed as agreed, either party may file a dispute within 7 days of the scheduled shift ending. Filing a dispute freezes any escrowed payment until GetCrew reviews the dispute and determines how the payment should be split between the parties. GetCrew's decision on a payment dispute is final. Disputes about the quality of work itself, licensing, or the underlying business relationship are between the business and the candidate — GetCrew's review is limited to how payment held in escrow should be resolved, not a general arbitration of the work performed.
8. User content and conduct
You retain ownership of the photos, videos, reviews, and other content you post to GetCrew, but you grant GetCrew a license to host, display, and distribute that content to other users as part of operating the platform (for example, showing your portfolio photos to a business considering hiring you). You're responsible for having the rights to anything you post, and for the accuracy of reviews you write — don't post content that's false, defamatory, infringing, or that discloses someone else's private information without consent.
Messaging on GetCrew is limited to businesses and candidates with an active invitation or job relationship, and is meant for coordinating that work. Don't use messaging, reviews, or any other feature to harass another user, solicit business off-platform to avoid fees, or violate any other part of these terms. GetCrew may remove content or suspend accounts that violate this section.
9. Termination
You may stop using GetCrew and delete your account at any time from your profile. GetCrew may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, provides false credential information, or creates risk for other users. Account deletion anonymizes your personal information but does not remove records GetCrew is required to retain for financial, tax, or legal purposes — see the Privacy Policy for details.
10. Disclaimers
GetCrew is provided "as is." We don't guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any candidate or business will perform as expected, or that any match, verification, or review is accurate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, GetCrew disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GetCrew is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, or for the acts or omissions of any business or candidate you connect with through GetCrew. GetCrew's total liability for any claim relating to the platform is limited to the greater of the fees GetCrew collected from you in the twelve months before the claim, or $100.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold GetCrew harmless from claims arising out of your use of the platform, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any right of a third party, including another user. This section does not apply to candidates in respect of any placement fee. A candidate owes GetCrew nothing on account of a fee an employer does not pay, and this section is not to be read as creating an indirect route to one.
13. Governing law and disputes with GetCrew
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes between you and GetCrew will be resolved through binding arbitration on an individual basis, not as a class action, except where prohibited by law.
This arbitration/governing-law language is standard boilerplate for a platform like this — worth a quick confirm with a lawyer before it's load-bearing for a real dispute, but not a blocker for launch.
14. Changes to these terms
GetCrew may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the "last updated" date above; continued use of the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
